Being well organised before going on a camping and trout fishing trip will insure you get the best possible time making it a memorable time. I like to start a small list of the main equipment I will need thinking about what facilities are there such as a camp site with toilets and is there food available. If you are going on a trip that will take you away to a remote part of a wilderness then the planning is even more critical as you have to be self sufficient.
A good shelter is a must it protects you from the weather and the insects during the night so spend your money wisely. For a trout fishing trip I always go for a specialised fishing tent called a fishing bivvy. A bivvy is designed to protect the fisherman from the weather while still allowing you to fish while sitting in the tent these are very popular with carp fishermen.
Food supplies are a point you have to think about as if you dont take enough food with you it could ruin your fishing trip and even endanger your health and safety. If you intend to heat your food on a camp fire take into account the chance of heavy rain stopping you from cooking food so you should bring some food that you don’t need to cook.
Your clothes have to be able to keep you warm and dry this will become more important in the colder months so take care in selecting warm clothes and I would strongly advise you to carry waterproof trousers as well as waterproof trousers. A good pair of hiking boots will protect you if there is a long walk to your fishing location.
If you are hiking a long distance to your fishing spot the lighter the fishing equipment the better go for a telescopic rod for ease of carrying you will also need a hunting or tactical knife to help with setting up camp and preparing food.
This guidance will help you have a safe and enjoyable time good luck with the fishing!
